Are employee referrals a good recruiting source? What might keep you from referring friends and/or acquaintances for a position at an organization where you work?
Employee referrals can be a small tool to recruiting potential employees however, we still have to go within the HR standards of assessing their Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and other Characteristics (KSAO) because they still need to be screen. Moreover, aside from KSAO are other federal steps needed to accomplish such as fingerprinting, license background verification, and drug testing. The think the keeps me from referring someone at my present work is that all applicants need to go online and fill an application. If there is an opening, applicants will be screened.
What are some primary differences between new workforce entrants, unemployed workers, and currently employed workers? How can organizations best recruit these different types of job seekers?
New workforce entrants are those new graduates that their skills and learning might be better than workers. Unemployed workers are without current job positions whereas currently employed workers are experience workers. Organization can best recruit different types of applicants through making job analysis and what requirements, education, experience, background qualifications, and other attributes that one posses.
Identify one organization you believe does a good job of recruiting talent. Provide two examples of their recruiting strategies to support your answer.
Sutter organization does a good job in recruiting because many times that I referred someone to my supervisor and were not accepted because of lack of experience. I think that they go by how the requirements of the job is set up in the hiring process. Two examples of recruiting strategies include education background and 2 or more years of experience in the related field.
