As a previous candidate
towards Walden's psychological program, it was interesting because I learn the
hardships of the program towards the end. I'm not talking about the course
study but how, the program did not include mentioning about the difficulty of
finding psychological preceptor toward my internship. With this issue, the
technological learning that I'm proposing was for each State in the U.S. to
allow video conference internship. The video conference will be equipped of
technologies such readily online books available, online libraries, and video
conference call to meet with preceptors and colleagues. This technological
educational learning is vital to ease the process of learning because it help
students increase skills, update data, use powerful tools to solve problem, and
increase visualization while learning psychological
process. The model can
also be used through other types of learning such as engineering, and education
needing computer learning on their internship. Computer and information literacy
can be overwhelming but increases understanding on the research process (American
Library Association, 2014).
Meanwhile, privacy and
confidentiality will be an issue but, obtaining the proper consent and
explaining to the client about video conference calling can be allowed by the
client.
The example of using
video internship increases technological learning as it enhance skills, and
achieves professional attainment from distant learning. Also, the professional position
of psychologists allows immediate video conference calling as to share professional
insights and ideas studying the client through video. Using computer assistance
helps a lot in blogging and collaborating with colleagues (Richardson, 2010).
I posted this on the online discussion post at Walden. I looked into the psychology program at Walden and decided not to pursue it mainly because of the internship. Though I did not pursue it thoroughly I had a feeling that the internship would be difficult to accomplish. Therefore, I agree with the concept that the internship should be done by video conferencing.
